His Mercies Are New as We Need Them
This I recall to my mind,
Therefore I have hope.
Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed
Because His compassions fail not.
They are new every morning;
Great is Your faithfulness.

Janis, I needed this. I just posted today about my struggle accepting the hurt that comes from my dad’s slippage into Alzheimer’s. And, this Scripture calmed and comforted me today.

That’s the secret. The enemy would have me forget the Lord’s mercies, His compassion. I must remember how much He cares.

Sharon, I’m sorry to hear about your Dad’s health. It’s so hard to see our parents life ebb away. Sorrow does overwhelm us as we realize that there is little, if anything at all, that we can do to help them. I will be praying for you and your parents.
